Posture Correction in
Melbourne CBD

You may spend your workday slumped at your desk, or maybe you’re constantly looking down at your phone or other mobile device. With work-from-home lifestyles more popular than ever before, you might work from your couch, or your dining room table, keeping your neck and back bent at unnatural angles.

Whatever bad habits you’ve created, likely without even realising it, poor posture can develop and become habitual, leading to stress on certain muscles and joints. Arthritis can develop because of this unnecessary stress and worsen, causing a decrease in circulation.

If you’re often hunched over, you likely feel tired and moody, have back and neck pain, and even discomfort in your hips. The great news is Dr Ron Zukerman (Chiropractor) may help you improve your posture and feel better.

What Is Good Posture?

When an individual is standing straight, the view from the front or back should reveal a spine aligned from the top of the head through the pelvis down to the bottom of the feet. The spine should not be curved to the left or right. The side view should show a spine with natural curves in three places—at the neck, the mid-back, and the lower back.

What to Expect

To help you improve your posture, you’ll be given a thorough postural and spinal exam to better understand what’s contributing to your poor posture. We’ll also take a detailed health history, so we can learn about your lifestyle and health habits.

Dr Zukerman will take photos of the spine and process them through special software, known as Posture Pro Postural Assessment. It’s the latest and most advanced postural analysis software. This assessment tool is highly effective and quick. After the evaluation is performed, a detailed three-page report will be generated.

Among the details each report will contain, a patient will be scored with their Total Posture Number, which helps keep track of any improvements/relapses of posture over time. It will also give the patient a look at what can happen over time if they do not have correction adjustments or perform their exercises. It can calculate the loss of height, the stress due to their poor posture, and can also compare to earlier exams.
